Magellan expanded this past year, bringing College Mentors founder Diana Hanson onto our team. Based in Santa Monica, Diana has over 10 years of experience in guiding high school students and their families through the college search and application process.
“I’m thrilled to team up with Diana and have her join the Magellan team,” said Magellan founder Evelyn Jerome-Alexander. “Diana’s strength in helping students develop and write essays will be helpful to all of our clients in our collaborative model. Her clients rave about her, calling her ‘a wealth of knowledge.’ We’re excited to have access to her knowledge on our team!”
Diana has enjoyed being a part of the Magellan team this cycle. “It’s great to work with such a professional and dedicated group,” Diana said. “Magellan has built a great team both in the Los Angeles area and in Boston, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
Magellan College Counseling has six independent college advisors in Los Angeles and Boston, and works with clients all over the country in person and by Skype. The team worked with over 50 seniors in the Class of 2017, over 40 of whom have college acceptances, many of them several, as of the end of December.
