Rachel grew up in Gainesville, FL, home of the University of Florida, and has loved university campuses ever since. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and has also taken courses at University of the Arts (Philadelphia), Parsons School of Design (NYC), and Otis School of Design (Los Angeles). Deeply committed to education, Rachel has taught English as a Second Language. Her eclectic background also includes dipping into the realms of dance, fashion, art, entrepreneurship, film production, entertainment PR, and technology. She has also been a digital project manager, content writer, copyeditor, and e-commerce strategic advisor, and brings considerable marketing, organizational, and planning skills to her role as a college admissions advisor.
In her work guiding students and families through the college admission process, Rachel focuses on affordability, budget, personal authenticity, and fit. Undergraduate education is a considerable investment on many levels. It takes time and effort to work together to surface core values, priorities, and interests to build a suitable college list and to prepare strong applications. Rachel’s extensive background in marketing, PR, and web development have prepared her to guide students to craft strong personal statements and to consider the overarching themes of their college applications.
Rachel believes that there are no “bad” schools or outcomes! She’s a cheerleader for her students’ success. She collaborates with students to identify exciting, realistic options that will align well with their goals, personality, and financial guardrails. Rachel is honored to support students on this journey.
