Join us Thursday, March 16th from 6-7:30 pm at Shomrei Torah Synagogue in West Hills for a FREE, hands-on college workshop for 9th, 10th and 11th grade students! Students should bring a laptop or tablet.
We call this session “Looking out and looking in,” as we help students identify their college priorities, consider what their contributions will be to a college community, and help them find ways to go beyond the colleges they already know. With 2,200 four-year colleges out there, we encourage students to explore colleges they may not have already heard about, but that may be a great place for them academically, socially and emotionally.
This free college workshop will be hands-on and it’s for students only! Parents – now is the time to start to let your student be in charge of his/her own college search process.
This college workshop is part of a series sponsored by Magellan College Counseling and Shomrei Torah Synagogue. Additional topics:
- Financial aid (April 6th, 7:30 pm)
- College entrance testing (May 11th, 7-8 pm)
Parents are invited to the April and May events!
