College Counselor Chris Savage

As a high school student, Chris Savage was not aware of the college planning process, and only later realized the incredible opportunities available to those who carefully plan and prepare for college. As a result, Chris has learned everything he can about college admissions and has worked passionately to educate his students about how to navigate the complex and ever-changing college planning process.

Chris has been helping students from various backgrounds thrive in all areas of their lives as a public high school counselor since 2014, first in Los Angeles and now in Fort Collins, Colorado. Seeking additional capacity to help students prepare for college, Chris earned his College Counseling Certificate from UCLA. Chris believes that students know themselves better than anyone, and finds great satisfaction in helping his students learn to advocate for themselves.

College is a transitory period from childhood to adulthood, so it is critical that students find a college that truly fits their needs and personality for this important time. Chris works tirelessly to help his students discover their interests, plan for the future, and find a best-fit college that will help them achieve their life’s goals.

Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and his master’s degree in school counseling from California State University, Northridge. He is a loving husband and father of two. He loves being active (especially in the outdoors!), coaching volleyball, personal finance/investing and loves learning new things.
