CapLab – College App Parenting Like A Boss

CapLab is a four-week program for parents of 8th, 9th and 10th graders.  As your child approaches his/her college search and application process, it’s important for you to understand what’s changed in college admissions since you applied years ago - or for you to understand a system that is different from the one you experienced.

CapLab includes four live Zoom courses with Magellan College Counseling founder and Certified Educational Planner Evelyn Jerome-Alexander, who has spent 14 years guiding students and families through the college search process. CapLab also includes a one-on-one appointment with Evelyn, during which you can ask questions specific to your child’s circumstances.

After attending the four-week CapLab series, you’ll have a solid understanding of how college admissions works and clarity on what to expect for your child in the years to come. Most importantly, you’ll be prepared with tools for an approach that will center your child’s best interests, especially their mental health, in what can be a very stressful process. CapLab will help you support your child and make them feel successful.

The next CapLab course begins on Wednesday, July 31 and continues for four weeks in a row. Registration will be limited to 10 families per course.  Sessions will be recorded, so if you miss one of the live classes, you'll have access to the recording.

The fee for CapLab is $1500.  If you choose to continue working with a Magellan counselor as your child moves into the college counseling phase, we'll give you a $500 discount off of whichever of our college counseling packages you choose.

If you're ready to sign up for CapLab, please register below!  You'll be taken to a payment page, and we'll follow up with a contract and a short intake form. (If you are already a member, Click here to log in.)
